Nearby Attractions

  • Pinto Art Museum (Antipolo): A Mediterranean-inspired villa housing an incredible collection of contemporary Filipino art. It’s only about a 10–15 minute drive away.

  • Taytay Tiangge: Known as the “Garments Capital of the Philippines,” this is the go-to spot for incredibly affordable wholesale and retail clothing.

  • Hinulugang Taktak: A historic waterfall park in Antipolo, recently renovated with new amenities like a climbing wall and hanging bridge.

  • Cloud 9 Antipolo: Famous for its hanging bridge and 360-degree views of the Manila skyline, especially stunning at sunset.

  • SM City Taytay & Waltermart: For immediate shopping, dining, and grocery needs, Waltermart is conveniently located right across the street.

Transportation Tips

  • Public Transit: You can catch G-Liner or RRCG buses along Ortigas Ave Extension that travel from Quiapo/Ortigas to Taytay/Angono.

  • Ride-Hailing: Grab is widely available in this area and is the most comfortable way to navigate the hilly terrain of Antipolo.

  • Jeepneys: Plenty of jeepneys pass by the gate heading toward Antipolo Simbahan or Binangonan.

  • Parking: If you are bringing a car, the property typically charges a flat rate (around ₱250 for 24 hours) with limited slots, so it is best to reserve ahead.

Who This Hotel is Best For

  • Value-Seekers: Ideal for travelers who want a high-end condo feel without the Makati or BGC price tag.

  • Families & Barkadas: The units often accommodate up to 4 guests and include kitchen facilities, making it great for small group staycations.

  • Shoppers: Perfectly situated for those planning a multi-day shopping spree at the Taytay Tiangge.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Prime Location: Easy access to both Taytay commercial hubs and Antipolo’s tourist spots.

  • Amenities: Features clean, well-maintained swimming pools and a fitness center.

  • Fully Equipped: Most units come with a kitchen, high-speed Wi-Fi, and Netflix access.

Cons

  • Pool Fees: Access to the swimming pool often requires a separate fee (approx. ₱200–₱500 depending on the guest count) and is closed on Mondays for maintenance.

  • Traffic: Ortigas Avenue Extension is notorious for heavy traffic during rush hours; plan your trips accordingly.

Pricing Observations

Expect to pay between ₱1,800 and ₱2,800 per night, depending on the day of the week and the specific unit size. Mid-week stays offer the best value, while holiday weekends can see prices spike due to demand for staycations in the Rizal area.

Local Food & Tourism Tips

  • Try the “Suman and Mango”: Antipolo is famous for its suman (sticky rice cakes) and cashew nuts. Grab some near the Antipolo Cathedral.

  • Overlooking Dining: For dinner, head up to the “Overlooking” area in Antipolo for restaurants like Tahanan Outreach Projects or Burrow Café for a unique forest-view brunch.

  • Night Market: If you’re a night owl, the Taytay Night Market is a vibrant experience for budget fashion finds.

First-Person Review

“Staying at The Hive was a breath of fresh air compared to the cramped hotels in the city. Ms. Janice’s unit was spotless and felt like a real home—she even left us some welcome snacks! The best part was the convenience; we just walked across the street to Waltermart to grab ingredients for dinner. While paying extra for the pool was a bit of a surprise, the water was so clean and the area wasn’t crowded at all. It’s the perfect ‘middle ground’ stay—close enough to the action but quiet enough to actually sleep.”
